The area saw a rapid increase in residential and commercial development, especially after the 1960s when nearby Magic Mountain amusement park opened in 1971. The city’s growth continued throughout the 1980s and 1990s, and in 1987, the city of Santa Clarita was incorporated, with Valencia becoming one of its most well-known communities. The development of Valencia Town Center, one of the area’s largest shopping malls, marked the area’s transformation into a modern suburban hub.

Today, Valencia is a vibrant, well-planned community that combines residential, commercial, and recreational spaces. The area is known for its well-maintained parks, beautiful homes, and family-friendly atmosphere.
